THE BANGLADESH BIBLE SOCIETY

Since 1953, Bangladesh Bible Society (BBS) has been successfully operating in Bangladesh in order to meet the needs of Bible in the churches of Bangladesh. After the liberation war of 1971, BBS started producing complete Bibles/scriptures/New Testaments not only in the Bangla language but also in different ethnic languages so that every Christian can have his/her own Bible. Besides, we want to ensure that non-literate and blind people can also listen to the living Word of God through audio technology. We not only translate Bible but also want to make our distribution/sale meaningful, not just giving away the Bibles. That’s why we organize different kinds of programs with local churches, hostels and for people in different professions like – doctors/nurses, media etc. We want to encourage adults, young people, and children by the Word of God through these programs. We desire to build up our young generation as future good Christian leaders for our society. Bangladesh Bible Society is at 390 New Eskaton Road, Dhaka-1217, Bangladesh. It is registered as an NGO with the NGO Affairs Bureau (FDR Reg. No. 54).
